Philipp Bünger (Germany), Hausgeist – solo show Feb 2020
For Galleries Night 2020 Project 189 Bangkok and Baan Rim Naam are proud to present Goethe Institut artist-in-residence Philipp Bünger with Hausgeist.
“Hausgeist” explores the memories held in a heritage warehouse in Talad Noi built at the time of King Rama II. The theme of memory is investigated using multiple art forms including photography and video tracing the untold stories that remain within the periphery of the house akin to a ghost guarding its secrets. “Hausgeist”, at times ephemeral at times concrete, tells the stories of former and current residents of the historic warehouse and cultural lounge Baan Rim Naam.
